Nutrient deficiencies are one of the most common problems for both novice and experienced growers. They can lead to yellow leaves, stunted growth, reduced flowering, and even plant death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Nitrogen deficiency (N)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Symptoms: Yellow leaves starting at the bottom leaves and spreading upward; slow growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Causes: Insufficient nitrogen in the diet, poor absorption due to incorrect pH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Solution: Add a nitrogen-rich fertilizer during the vegetative stage; monitor the pH for optimal absorption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Phosphorus deficiency (P)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Symptoms: Dark green leaves with purple or red veins; delayed root and flowering development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Causes: Nutrient deficiency, root environment too cold or poor pH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Solution: Add phosphorus-rich nutrients, check medium temperature, correct pH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Potassium (K) deficiency<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Symptoms: Yellow or brown edges on leaves, discoloration of leaves, weaker buds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Causes: Insufficient potassium in the substrate or nutrient solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Solution: Add potassium-rich nutrients; check the water&#039;s EC if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Magnesium deficiency (Mg)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Symptoms: Yellow spots between the leaf veins, curling leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Causes: Poor magnesium absorption due to incorrect pH or deficiency in food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Solution: Add magnesium through Epsom salt (MgSO\u2084) or special fertilizers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Iron deficiency (Fe)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Symptoms: Young leaves turn yellow while the veins remain green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Causes: Too high pH or lack of iron in food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Solution: Use iron-rich fertilizer and correct pH to optimal values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"6\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Other micronutrient deficiencies<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zinc (Zn): discolored and deformed leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Manganese (Mn): brown spots between leaf veins, chlorosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Borer (B): deformed new shoots and flower tips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Micronutrients are needed in small amounts but essential for healthy growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"7\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Common causes of deficiencies<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Incorrect pH: The most common cause of blocked nutrient absorption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Overwatering or underwatering: affects root health and uptake capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inadequate or poor quality nutrition: Food should contain all macro- and micronutrients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Temperature and stress factors: Extreme heat or cold reduces absorption efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"8\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Prevention and correction<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Measure pH and EC regularly: soil 6.0\u20136.8, coco\/hydro 5.5\u20136.2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Providing balanced nutrition: adjustments per growth phase (vegetative vs flowering).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Monitor root health: no root rot or overwatering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Supplement micronutrients: if necessary, via foliar feeding or nutrient application.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cannabis plants require balanced nutrition to grow healthily and produce high yields.
