Description

25-micron drying net for drying extractions. We recommend placing a paper towel underneath to better absorb excess water.

To write 250 words about SEO, we could cover everything from performing extractions to recommending products like the laundry bag for storing plant material and the 20- or 120-liter extraction nets, individually or in sets. But all those words are too much for the drying mesh.

You can use them for anything you can think of, such as storing your extracts while they dry, or you can also recommend other products, such as rosin bags or presses, for making extractions with a drying mesh.

  • To prevent the trichomes from breaking or sticking together, we store the plant material and avoid stacking it in large quantities in plastic bags.
  • The most delicate part of the process is filtering the glands we previously collected from the screens through the metal sieve. It's important not to apply pressure to the filter screen (the fabric screen) before placing it in the metal sieve, so you can then filter it with a brush. This process is much more labor-intensive when working with fresh plant material than when working with dried material, so patience is also a key factor.
  • The drying room should be free from direct current and strong ambient odors. It should also be cool and no warmer than 15°C.
  • When working with fresh plant material, pressing is not recommended, as the glands are partially hydrated. This prevents the Fresh Frozen from losing its aroma due to the moisture it retains or from immediately rotting.
  • It is important to store our extracts in the refrigerator to slow down rapid degradation as much as possible.
  • For perfect preservation of our extracts, especially when working with fresh plant material, freeze-drying the final product is ideal. This method would allow us to store them much longer, but because it requires specialized and very expensive machinery, it's not feasible for the average grower. Several homemade freeze-drying methods are available online, but these are often very labor-intensive and, as expected, yield highly variable results.

Instructions for use:

  1. Fill the bucket or washing machine halfway with water and add the ice. Remove the plant material from the freezer when the temperature is between 0.5 and 4ºC (32 and 39ºF) and place it in the washing machine bag. It's recommended to place an ice pack along with the plant material in the washing machine bag.
  2. If you're using a washing machine, place the bag in the washing machine on a 10-minute delicate cycle (if available). If you're using it by hand, whisk it for about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Place the screens in the bucket (from lowest to highest micron value) and filter the water through them.
  4. Remove the gauze pads one by one and remove any excess water with a clean cloth, gently squeezing the outer edge of the pad. To even out the extraction in the center, we use a splash of water.
  5. Remove the screens one by one and place the resulting extract in the metal sieve to dry later. Normally, the screens with the highest micron count (220, 160, 140) are not usable, although this depends on the type of plant material we are processing.
  6. Place the drying gauze on absorbent paper or something similar and strain the extract through the metal sieve using a brush. If working with wet glands (undried plant material, freshly frozen), use a stiff brush.
  7. Let it dry for 6 to 10 days in a cool, dark place.
